InnovationFlexible physics and Flash technology

Impact Students are better prepared for small laboratory experiences.

The Physics Department has completed a collection of Flash video educational objects directed at undergraduates. These objects provide a bridge between faculty-led large lecture-demonstration sessions and the TA-led small group laboratory experiences. Stills and videos are presented in an engaging fashion, showing the laboratory environment and equipment, and a brief explication of principles and procedures. Flash technology is used to facilitate navigation. Students find that after watching the videos they are better prepared for laboratory.
