InnovationCALS international programs

Impact We are better equipping UW-Madison undergraduates in the sciences with the global competencies they will need to work and lead in an increasingly interdependent world.

Faculty and instructional staff in the sciences are creating high-impact, innovative, in-class and abroad programs that expose science students to the international aspects of their fields. Innovations in progress include: multimedia case studies about animal and dairy science in Mexico; an online learning simulation about wolf conservation in Sweden; and the use of videoconferencing technology to co-teach a course in plant pathology here with an equivalent course at a university in Guatemala.
